As construction begins on Mercer’s new student center, slated to open in 2028, we’re creating new opportunities for students to connect across campus with expanded dining options, comfortable gathering spaces, and favorite campus traditions.

This academic year brings more variety, more flexibility, and more places to eat across campus.
- Fresh Food Company has relocated to Penfield Hall, serving all your favorite dining stations along with expanded menu options made possible through a new modular kitchen.
- The Drop, Mercer’s virtual kitchen with convenient contactless pickup, is available in Tarver Library, making it even easier to grab a meal between classes.
- Toby’s To Go food truck will roll into Cruz Plaza Monday through Friday (weather permitting), featuring a rotating menu that gives you something new and different to look forward to throughout the semester.
- Tot’s Corner, conveniently located in Legacy Hall, offers grab-and-go meals, late-night snacks, your favorite energy drink, and everyday essentials.
- The University Center is a hub for dining, recreation, and spending time with friends throughout the year.
- The Farmers Market in the University Center features expanded seating and a covered outdoor patio with fans and heaters, giving you another comfortable spot to study, relax, or enjoy a meal with friends throughout the year.
- The University Center Food Court features student favorites like Chick-fil-A and Panda Express, making it easy to grab a quick meal between classes or before campus events.
- Einstein Bros. Bagels, conveniently located in Tarver Library, serves freshly baked bagels, breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and other grab-and-go favorites.

Did You Know?
Before it was known as Penfield Hall, the building originally opened as Mercer's dining hall in 1922. More than a century later, this historic space is once again welcoming Bears to gather, connect, and share meals.
