The Art of Recording Sound

So much of how we explore our world is through sound. In this hands-on session we'll listen to audio pieces to identify different kind of sounds and then use microphones to learn how to record the best audio.

Adaptive Technology

This experience is focused on adaptive technology efforts and students will work in pairs to create a powered dice roller and a momentary button that is compatible with other adaptive technology devices. Students complete a card and take a picture of themselves with the dice roller and button. The card and photo will be included with the dice roller and button when we distribute them to our pediatric physical therapy contacts.

Digital Detectives: Design Avatars and Crack Codes

Create your own digital avatars, explore coding basics, and crack secret messages using the Caesar cipher—all in one fun, hands-on session. No experience needed, just curiosity and creativity!

Your Block, Your Body: The Hidden Impact of Place on Health

This course reveals how where you live—your zip code, your street, even your block—can shape your health as much as your genetics or habits. We will take a look at how the built environment and social conditions quietly influence our bodies every day.
